A Vacation Rental Home (usually for rent by owner) is many times a second or additional home owned by individuals who do not live in the home full-time but maintain the home with all of the amenities as if they did. Sometimes these are homes that the owner uses occasionally as a vacation or holiday home, with the remainder of the time being available for rental to others. Other times, these homes are owned by local residents (usually in tourist towns) who offer them as accommodations for visiting friends and family, with the remainder of the time being available for rentals to others.
